Last February 10, 2024, the SCPW gathered bright-minded students in architecture and related disciplines from various universities from 9 AM to 2 PM to jumpstart the Orientation for the WCDC. The event aligned seamlessly with the theme of World Wetlands Day 2024 which is ‘Wetlands and Human Wellbeing” and promotes a mix of eco-awareness and architectural creativity. The orientation served as a learning session for the students who observed and enjoyed the various features of the Las Piñas Parañaque Wetland Park.
The schools that participated are:

2. Far Eastern University Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts
3. National University College of Architecture
4. Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila
5. Polytechnic Unversity of the Philippines
6. University of Santo Tomas
7. De La Salle College of St Benilde
The participating teams will visit the mangrove areas of Macabebe, Pampanga on 17 February 2024 to learn more about the site of the Wetland Centre complex that will be designed by the students under the said competition.
