The CLEAR Youth Network Congress is the annual gathering of the CLEAR Youth Network represented by Eco-Camp graduates and their groups that were formed in the schools and/or communities as a result of the Camp. The Congress is a venue for reporting accomplishments and planning of yearly activities. 12th CLEAR Youth Network Congress
To sustain the activities of the CYN which has been put on hold for more than four years now, a virtual CYN Congress was held on 18 December 2021. It primarily brought together former Youth Eco-Campers and Wetlands BioBlitz participants so that their wetland conservation activities can be sustained despite the challenges of the covid19 pandemic. The Congress now includes twenty two (22) sets of campers from the lakeshore cities and municipalities of Rizal and Laguna: Muntinlupa, Taguig, Pateros, Tanay, Angono, Binangonan, Los Baños, Pangil, Lumban, San Pablo, Siniloan, San Pedro, Sta. Rosa, Mabitac, Rizal, Pila, Morong, Calauan, Cardona, Victoria, Jala-Jala, and Kalayaan.
This year’s congress was focused on the theme Healing with Nature: Restoring Wetland Ecosystems which is in line with the UN Decade of Ecosystem Restoration. The CLEAR Partnership (Conservation of Laguna de Bay’s Environment and Resources), the tripartite partnership of LLDA, SCPW and Unilever Philippines), with the support from Maynilad Water Services, Inc. and ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity, held the 12th CLEAR Youth Network Congress: Virtual Event and Grand Kumustahan on 18 December 2021 through a virtual platform.
The event was participated by over 50 CYN members consisting of students, ecocamp graduates and coordinators. Also attending the online event were guests and observers from the academe and local government units.
