The 12th Living Lakes Conference was held on 22 to 27 September 2008 at Lake Trasimeno in Italy. With the theme “Linking Cultural Landscape Values to Lake Protection“, the conference highlighted the links between culture and the use of natural resources in lake regions and searched for possibilities to change human habits to a more eco-friendly way with full respect for the ecosystem and the biodiversity.
The Philippine delegation representing Laguna de Bay was composed of Mr. Ed Manda and Ms. Lennie Santos-Borja of the Laguna Lake Development Authority, Ms. Jika Mendoza-Dalupan and Mr. Shan Chua of the Unilever Philippines, and Ms. Amy Lecciones of the Society for the Conservation of Philippine Wetlands.
