The CLEAR Partnership was represented at the Conference by Ms. Amy M. Lecciones, Project Manager for CLEAR and Vice-President of the SCPW and Mr. Edgardo Manda, General Manager of the Laguna Lake Development Authority. As one of the Keynote Presentors for Day 1 of the Conference, GM Manda talked about the damages brought about by the recent typhoon (Ondoy) to the Laguna de Bay and the efforts that LLDA is taking to prevent such a disaster from happening again.
Ms. Lecciones was appointed Rapporteur for the Parallel Round Table Discussion on Social Dimensions of Lake Management, specifically for the session on Managing Health Issues (Sanitation, Drinking Water, etc.). She reported on the summary of the six presentations on the subject at the Plenary of Day 2.
